Boston Data Center Move – Jan. 12-14 (Phase 1)
Planned
Scheduled for January 12, 2025 at 9:00 PM – January 14, 2025 at 5:00 PM
FAS Research Computing will be moving floors in our Boston data center in early 2025. This will require at least two downtimes to accomplish. The most impactful will be the first move of our Boston Isilon storage which houses all user home directories.
This first move will begin at 4PM on Sunday, January 12th 2025 with an expected return to service at 12PM on Tuesday January 14th 2025. As home directories will be offline, this will necessitate a full stop of the cluster and all jobs. As login will not be possible without home directories, all login and Open OnDemand nodes will also be offline.
